We regard both domestic and foreign events as
ordinary. Our daily lives are stuck in casual relationships. The
extorted freedom of education of head-scarved female students, the
pathetic state of divine faculties and imam-hatip high schools, the
inconsiderate attitude adopted towards our young generation graduating
from these schools…We began to observe these as ordinary incidents and
cases.
Visualize a country in which there is no restriction
on immorality, adultery, nudity, and
regarded as a sign of modernity.
Praying, wearing headscarf, and striving to live as
a Muslim are outdated (!)
This can not continue like this. The real Owner of
property never procrastinates. Nobody can know but Him when the
pre-determined period comes to an end. Those who are not afraid of
people’s slap will get the slap of God. Let us pull ourselves together
before we get that slap and put an end to this rashness.
How long can we reverse-flow the river? The river
will flow normally and those who try to reverse-flow it will be carried
away by its current and destroyed.
There is an effective minority in our country. This
minority, with the assistance and order of foreign organizations, want
to disconnect us from our roots which make us a nation and consequently,
wish a community full of spiritless and non-believing individuals who
can easily be governed.
This minority has branches in politics, bureaucracy,
media and business world. They cooperate and collaborate together to
break us off from our roots and to convert us into a community which
acts in line with their interests and is in conformity with the outdated
values of the West though there are sometimes conflicts among them.
It will be the worst to strive to remove a nation
from a great Islamic civilization, and transform it into a community to
be established over the principles of oppression and exploitation.
The imprudence of Muslim intelligentsia and betrayal
of some domestic and foreign organizations have played a crucial role in
this deterioration.
The Spanish Christians did one of the greatest
massacres and genocides in the 15th century.
The Muslims who governed the country in justice with
no racial and religious discrimination for more than 700 years were
forced to be either converted into Christianity or to be burned. Those
who were able to escape from the massacres survived. Those who were
unable to escape were either Christianized or fired. In the meantime,
the Jewish People were also massacred. No country but the Ottoman State
accepted those escaping from the massacre. They lived in the Ottoman
Country in freedom and tranquillity.
They declared that they became Muslims, and lived
with this identity. However, they never became real Muslims with very
few exceptions.
They have the power, influence and authority in
politics, bureaucracy, media and business world and in the
administration of our country. They are influential in the wrong
attitudes, activities and acts towards Islam and Muslims.
By the way, it is useful to note the following story
by Molla Cami who narrated it in Baharistan:
An ill-natured scorpion set off. He came close to a
riverside. He was astonished. He could afford neither to return nor to
cross. A turtle pitied him and got him on his back. The turtle began to
swim across the river. Just at that time, he heard something. The
scorpion was hitting his back. The turtle asked the scorpion, “What is
this sound?” The scorpion, “This is the sound of my sting. I am
hitting your back. Although I know I can not penetrate through your
back, I do it because it is my nature.” The scorpion said to himself,
“I’d better save him from doing evil and those good people from his
evil.” And the turtle let the scorpion go to a place from which he can
never return.
Some ill-tempered people and wicked communities are
even more dangerous than evil animals. Our society is full of ignorant
intellectuals who have betrayed us in the worst way. We need to be
well-informed of those evil networks and exert great effort to protect
our society from them. The Muslim intelligentsia have great
responsibility in the realization of this. They should leave daily
rumours and useless disputes aside and deal thoroughly with the primary
issues and problems of Muslims and seek and find solutions and ways.
